Veteran drag-and-drive competitor and popular social media influencer Alex Taylor will become a rookie all over again when she debuts in Radial versus The World at this weekend’s DuckX Productions Sweet 16 at the South Georgia Motorsports Park. Taylor revealed today a partnership between she and longtime Pro Modified and small-tire racer Jeff Miller that will put her in the seat of Miller’s twin-turbocharged, Hemi-powered “Bumblebee” Chevrolet Camaro. For Taylor, who has been in the sevens (1/4-mile) behind the wheel of her new 1955 Chevy street machine, the 3.6-second (1/8-mile) rocket will be an entirely new experience.
“Holy crap! Last week we drove to Florida with the ’55 to test and go fast. Ryan Witte asked Patrick Miller from Bumblebee Racing to come down to be there help get the car dialed in. Apparently behind the scenes Ryan, Patrick, and Jeff (his dad) were scheming,” Taylor stated. “And on Saturday Patrick asked if I wanted to drive the car this weekend in Radial vs. The World class at Donald Long’s Sweet 16. Umm count me in! But dang, talk about trial by fire. Fitted in the car yesterday. Testing (hopefully) tomorrow. Then South Georgia bound. I don’t know what to expect, but it’s an opportunity I can’t pass up. Let’s goooo!”
