ATI Performance Products, one of drag racing’s leading manufacturers of high-performance racing transmissions, torque converters, transmission fluids, and other driveline components, has signed on as the title sponsor of the National Muscle Car Association’s popular Nostalgia Super Stock category for the remainder of the 2014 season, series officials recently announced.

The Nostalgia Super Stock category, one of the longest-running classes in the NMCA lineup, features a throwback to the class racing of yesteryear, with Ford Thunderbolts, Pontiac GTO’s, Plymouth Barracuda’s, Buick Skylark’s, and a range of other American iron going head-to-head in index-based racing action on the quarter-mile.

The ATI Performance Products Nostalgia Super Stock class will contest its largest event of the season at the next stop on the NMCA trail at the Gateway Motorsports Park near St. Louis with the annual running of the Dave Duell Classic, which traditionally draws more than 40 racers from around the country to take part in the memorial event. Also on tap are the traditional class runoffs, including a special FX Shootout for FX class cars.

ATI Performance has been a supporter of Dave Duell and his son, Doug, who now helps to promote the annual classic that bears his late fathers name. In addition to the Nostalgia Super Stock class, ATI’s products are behind some of the sport’s top Stock and Super Stock racers in the NHRA and IHRA ranks, including ATI’s J.C. Beattie Jr. and his COPO Camaro Super Stock and Dodge Challenger Drag Pak Stock entries. For more information on ATI Performance Products, visit them on the web at atiracing.com.
