Fellows, from Chula Vista, California, was reportedly racing his Nissan 280Z when he lost control near the finish line, crashed, and caught fire.
“The Street Outlaws family is heartbroken by the accident that led to the tragic death of Ryan Fellows. We extend our deepest sympathy to Ryan’s loved ones as they process this sudden and devastating loss,” said the Discovery Channel in a statement.
Fellows had previously appeared on an episode of “Street Outlaws Memphis,” racing a Lamborghini Huracan as part of a team from Arizona. Fellows leaves behind his wife, Liz, and two children.
