For the first time in Australian motorsport history, Sydney Dragway and Sydney International Speedway are teaming up for a one-of-a-kind event. On March 22, 2025, “Chaos at the Creek” will combine professional drag racing and sprint car action in a doubleheader that promises to redefine motorsport events in New South Wales.

The drag racing portion of the event will feature the Pro Drag Racing Championship (PDRC), with headlining categories including Pro Alcohol, Pro Mod, Pro Stock, Pro Bike, and Pro Import. Supporting the professional racers will be the NSW Championship Series, showcasing the talents of sportsman competitors. This packed lineup guarantees an afternoon of intense, high-octane action at Sydney Dragway.

Jason Hedges, owner of the Pro Drag Racing Championship, is the driving force behind Chaos at the Creek. Speaking about the event, Hedges said, “The proximity of the venues to each other in the Sydney Motorsport Precinct absolutely lends itself to this style of event. I’d like to extend my thanks to the operators of both Sydney International Speedway and Sydney Dragway for their willingness to work together towards what I believe will be one of the biggest motorsport events in Sydney for years.”

The excitement doesn’t stop with drag racing. The evening will shift to Sydney International Speedway, where the eighth event on the SIS calendar will take place. More than 40 of Australia’s top sprint car drivers are expected to compete. Wingless Sprints, Late Models, and V8 Dirt Modifieds will round out the evening’s lineup, offering fans a thrilling mix of clay-track racing.

Sydney Dragway Board Member Rob Marjan highlighted the significance of the collaboration: “This will be a big step forward for cross sport collaboration. Having the Speedway and Dragway effectively on the same property creates opportunities that we have not even considered yet. This will be the first of hopefully many events working side-by-side.”

SIS Operator Garry Wilmington added, “This is without a doubt one of the biggest announcements for Speedway and Drag Racing in the last 10 years in this city. There is so much crossover of fan interest between our two motorsports, and I genuinely hope that the fans take advantage of this awesome event!”

A single ticket will allow spectators to enjoy both events on March 22, with drag racing in the afternoon and speedway action in the evening. Tickets go on sale Monday, January 13, at 10 a.m. Due to differing spectator capacities at the two venues, fans are encouraged to pre-purchase tickets online.
