How does a chance to win a Pro Street monster sound? Yeah, thats what we thought. Danny Keane of American Auto in Hamilton, New Jersey is giving you just that opportunity. Purchase one of his shop logo decals for $110 and you’re automatically entered or a chance to win his one-of-a-kind 1967 Chevy Impala SS. Once 2,500 decals are purchased, one winner will be randomly selected to take home this wild ride.
Danny picked up this ride some time ago, completely original with the numbers matching engine, and has since transformed it into one seriously badass Pro Street hot rod. His love for the body lines of the Impala grew, and Dan was eventually inspired enough to yank the original 396-inch Chevy mill and begin the transformation.
An 8.0:1 compression, 555 cubic-inch Merlin 3 block became the base of this build with a Howard’s hydraulic roots blower camshaft and a set of ported and polished aluminum Edelbrock heads. The BDS 16-71 roots blower makes eight pounds of boost and is topped off with a pair of 990cfm Chuck Nyuten carburetors. An MSD distributor and digital 6AL ignition box control the spark which is met with 93 octane pump gas.
Danny’s Impala uses a Turbo 400 transmission with a reverse manual valve body and a transbrake to relay an approximate 1,000 horsepower to a set of 33 x 21.5 x 15-inch Hoosier slicks through a Fab9 modular rear end with strange axles and a set of 5.13 gears. A 4-link rear suspension with adjustable coil-over shocks help make sure all that horsepower is utilized properly and Wilwood disc brakes on all four wheels help bring everything to a stop.
“I just pictured this car like a Hot Wheels car I used to play with as a kid, you know, big motor sticking up, fat tire, big car,” he commented. And its not far off from his vision at all. This wild Pro treet ride definitely seems worth the $110 gamble!
