Davis Technologies, one of the most established and recognizable names in the business of traction control technology and devices, has joined forces with the powerTV team and its network of online enthusiast magazines, bringing to the table added emphasis from en editorial standpoint the unmatched advantages that their traction control systems provide to drag racers of any rank.

Traction control, long a part of other forms of motorsports, is here to stay in the straight line world whether you’re a fan of it or not, and Davis Technologies is leading the way in traction control technology for even the most extreme of drag racing applications.

Davis Technologies offers a small range of products for racers and race teams based on their needs and their budgets, from the Non Self-Learning Sportsman series that periodically compares the rate of acceleration of the driveshaft to an Adjustable Fixed Rate, or Threshold, to the Self Learning Lite and Pro series that compare the rate of acceleration of the driveshaft to a calculated threshold value that’s constantly updated based on the average of previous measurements.

Perhaps the most important element of the latter two units is their speed; while many systems work 10 times a second, Davis’ traction control units work every 1/8 of a turn of the driveshaft, and with as many as 30 triggers being utilized, can actually record measurements as many as 3,000 times a second. It’s this technology and incredible speed that’s assisted a number of high-horsepower doorslammer racers cruise into victory lane and shatter untold numbers of records.

Through the partnership with powerTV and Davis Technologies, we’ll be bringing you regular news and technical information on how you can take advantage of all the modern advancements in traction control.
