Event Preview: 2nd Annual Haltech Hail Mary Derby

After a hugely successful debut event in late 2020, race promoter Jason Miller is continuing the excitement with the 2nd annual Haltech Hail Mary Derby presented by Wiseco at Maryland International Raceway in Mechanicsville, Maryland, over the weekend of May 13-16, 2021.

With no classes and no rules, the Hail Mary Derby is all about track time and track prep. With up to 14 individual derby sessions on the schedule, racers can go all-out without the pressure of eliminations in hopes of scoring epic new personal bests.

Covering both the eighth-mile and quarter-mile with the scoreboards on, drivers can run whatever engine and/or power adder they want, at any weight, with any fuel, and on any tire they choose while taking advantage of the cool spring air – it’s imports and domestics unleashed.

Slicks or radials, front wheel drive or rear wheel drive, the unique format of the 2nd annual Haltech Hail Mary Derby presented by Wiseco ensures unparalleled drama and excitement as drivers aim to see what their machines can do without any restrictions in place. Additionally, call-outs, grudge matches, and special shootouts are encouraged to be run and spectators are welcome to attend as a huge vendor midway will also be a part of the event!
