Event Preview: PDRA Summer Shootout Presente by Ty-Drive

Returning to Virginia Motorsports Park, the PDRA Summer Shootout Presented by Ty-Drive continues the 2021 racing season on July 15-17.

With tons of exciting classes ranging from the 200-plus MPH Pro Boost and Pro Nitrous doorslammer drag racing action along with Pro Outlaw 632, Pro Street, the wild Pro Nitrous Motorcycles, Top Sportsman and Top Dragster, plus two Jr. Dragster categories for the next generation of drivers, the PDRA Friday Night Fire returns to give fans a flame-throwing thrill. Additionally, the event will celebrate the life and legacy of engine builder Sonny Leonard of Sonny’s World Class Racing Engines with the Extreme Pro Stock Memorial Race.

With championships on the line, drivers in every category will be going all-out as they hunt for wins and points to make their move towards PDRA glory.

To make the event even better, fans can book special VIP suite access for the entire weekend and enjoy the race from the comfort of an air-conditioned seat in one of the Virginia Motorsports Park suites.
