Event Preview: Street Car Takeover Charlotte

Three days of nonstop street car action are going down in Charlotte, North Carolina as the Street Car Takeover rolls into town on June 24-26 with over $25,000 in cash payouts to its winners.

Thursday night of the event kicks off with a meet pre-party at the Twin Peaks restaurant in Concord along with a mobile dyno, giveaways, vendors, and more.

Friday features a full day of roll racing at the legendary zMAX Dragway. A chip draw-style eliminations shootout with no qualifying for classes such as Modified Street, Mild Street, King of the Bakery, and Daily Street, the prepped track surface will be prime for jaw-dropping high-speed runs.

Saturday wraps up the weekend with a drag race, car show, and burnout contest, all held at zMAX. With over ten classes specifically geared towards street-legal cars and trucks from mild to wild, an open test-n-tune session will also be offered.

Spectators can expect to witness some wild street cars taking on each challenge, and with free admission for kids ages 12 and under as well as camping on-site, the event is sure to be one of the best yet.
