Drag racing fans love the raw power of modern muscle cars battling on the dragstrip. The roar of V-8 engines and the smell of burning rubber draw thousands of spectators every year. For those who crave real Detroit steel, the Flexjet NHRA Factory Stock Showdown promises an unforgettable 2026 season. Organizers just expanded the schedule to nine national events. This means more side-by-side racing featuring Chevrolet COPO Camaros, Ford Cobra Jets, and Dodge Challenger Drag Paks.

The action kicks off at the historic Gatornationals in Gainesville from March 5-8. Drivers will then travel across the country to iconic tracks in Charlotte, Chicago, Bristol, and Norwalk before taking a brief summer break. Two-time defending world champion Mark Pawuk enters the season looking to secure a rare three-peat. He clinched his 2025 title with huge victories in Norwalk and Bristol. However, Jason and Taylor Dietsch proved they are serious threats by taking home four combined wins last season.

he rivalry between these top-tier competitors will heat up the NHRA Factory Stock Showdown as the summer approaches. To make things even more interesting, the popular Flexjet Bounty Program returns for 2026. This system places a target on the back of the previous event winner and gives rivals an extra financial incentive to take them down on the strip.

After the summer break, the series returns for the U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis on Labor Day weekend. Teams will then head to Martin and St. Louis before reaching the newly added season finale. The Texas Motorplex in Dallas will host the final race from Oct. 14-18 during the Texas NHRA Fall Nationals. That extra ninth stop guarantees the championship battle will come down to the wire. With Flexjet returning as the title sponsor, the prestige of the class continues to grow. Fans are gearing up for tight points battles and blistering passes. The upcoming NHRA Factory Stock Showdown season will give everyone plenty of reasons to head out to the track and watch these factory hot rods fly down the quarter-mile.
