The 2025 Fling Series season resumes August 27-31 with the inaugural Summit Racing Equipment Fling at Norwalk, presented by Total Seal Piston Rings. Hosted at the legendary Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, the event will bring together 415 top bulb competitors along with a select 32-car field of bottom bulb racers backed by Laris Motorsports Insurance.
Racing begins Wednesday with OEM Combustion Service Day, where competitors will make time runs to prepare for the weekend. The session’s 16 best packages will earn a spot in the free Coltrin Door and Moulding $5K Shootout. Later in the day, a special dragster vs. door car contest will feature 16 door cars and 16 dragsters racing for a brand-new Race Tech dragster chassis that will be awarded to the winner.
The headline races include two $50,000-to-win main events on Strange Engineering Friday and ATI Performance Products Saturday, followed by a $30,000 finale on Function Enterprises Inc. Sunday.
Throughout the week, drivers will also chase championship points in the Robco Residential Box Points Fund, worth $5,000, a custom champion trophy, and a Biondo Trophy Shifter. The No-Box Points Fund, sponsored by Laris Motorsports Insurance, will award $1,500 and a custom trophy to its winner.
Beyond the competition, racers and their families can expect the full “Fling experience.” More than $50,000 in giveaways are planned, including $500 payouts for the best losing packages in early rounds Friday through Sunday, sets of slicks from Hoosier and Mickey Thompson for later rounds, and even free ice cream for racers who buy back in. Saturday’s Fling Kids Easter Egg Hunt will also provide prizes ranging from Razor scooters to RC cars and gift cards.
Fans unable to attend can follow all the action live on the @RaceTheFlings YouTube channel, with coverage presented by Moser Engineering. The Fling production team will deliver enhanced coverage featuring roaming cameras and drone footage throughout the week.
