Fuelab was well represented in the winners circle at the annual Holley LS Fest at the Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky over the weekend, as sponsored racer Jenna Pierce-Wilson wheeled her sleek 2012 replica COPO Camaro to the win in the 5th Gen Camaro category.
Pierce-Wilson, competing in the C/Camaro category with her Fuelab-equipped Camaro, had the second quickest car in the field with a 10.00 index, and in the second round (after ousting a red-lighting tom Calabrese in round) met up with Ronnie Hackelton and his eight-second A/Camaro machine, advancing when Hackelton took too much stripe and broke out with an 8.97 on his 9.00 index.
In the semifinals, Pierce-Wilson got out first on a dead-late Jeff Brady and coasted across the stripe with a 10.17 to make her way into the final, where she’d meet Tennessee native Tim Emberton and his 2010 Camaro. There, she go out early on Emberton, who was a day-and-a-half late with a .585 reaction time, and was never headed, coasting across the quarter-mile mark for the win with a 10.56 at just 108 miles per hour.
Pierce-Wilson and her husband, Jesse, built the COPO replica that features Fuelab’s Prodigy High Pressure EFI In-Line fuel pump, 515 series fuel pressure regulator, and a pair of 282 Series In-Line filters to keep the fuel flowing.
