FuelTech Releases New 320 LB/H Racing Fuel Injectors

Earlier this year FuelTech released its own line of fuel injectors, known as the FT Injector, initially offering them in just 720 lb/h or 520 lb/h ratings, which were tested at 30-130 psi. Today, the motorsport technology company released a third option to the lineup, rated at 320 lb/h at 90 psi.

The FT Injector 320 lb/h fuel injector is the perfect replacement for the older style 160, 210, and 220 lb/h injectors, offering higher output and superior reliability. All FT Injectors are designed to operate as low as 30 psi and as high as 130 psi thanks to its design, which allows for a quick ramp up in flow and extremely high duty cycles. In fact, it isn’t unusual for the FT Injectors to handle over 90-percent duty cycle without losing control or getting hung open. Credit the superior magnetic coil and spring that controls the plunger for its high level of performance.

Superior manufacturing and quality control also factor into the reliability and high-performance of the FT Injector line-up. Every injector component is built and checked to high standards before assembly begins. The process concludes with flow testing every injector before it is boxed up and shipped. Every FT Injector is designed to handle all types of fuel including gasoline, ethanol, methanol/alcohol, nitromethane, nitropropane, MTBE, and ETBE.

The FT Injector line-up are all low impedance style injectors, including the 320 lb/h fuel injectors, and require the use of the FuelTech 8A/2A Peak and Hold injector driver for vehicles utilizing a PowerFT engine management system. As a side note, these injectors are compatible with any aftermarket ECU. The FT Injector is offered with three output tip options—traditional O-ring, 45-degree tip, and AN fitting. The AN fitting tip is most often used in Roots/Twin-screw supercharger blower hats while the 45-degree tip allows various injector angles in the intake runners when space is limited.
