FuelTech’s FT700 and FT700PLUS systems have been embraced by racers and are being used in vehicles around the world. Using the real-world feedback from racers, the FuelTech Vision Software v1.40 update was created. This software update has over 100 new features, enhancements, and performance improvements that make these ECUs even better.
Wastegate control is very important for high-horsepower applications. The Electronic Wastegate Control (eGate) system in v1.40 allows for smarter boost control, PMB limits, and self-calibration. The Advanced Alert System got some love and features real-time alerts for boost, rpm signals, O2 correction limits, and much more. Thanks to the new update, the FT700 series systems have fresh LED color options and blinking indicators that improve visual feedback.
FuelTech also added to this update a MAP Sensor Fallback Logic system. This allows for automatic sensor switching if your primary MAP fails while the vehicle is running. The Advanced RPM Sensor Filtering update improved the system’s signal clarity when it’s operating in a high-interference environment. The internal data logger saw several updates, including a functions overlay, buttons to download the last log, status events added to the log, and much more.
We’re not going to jump into all of the updates that FuelTech crammed into the v.1.40 software update, but we have included a video where Luis De Leon dives into more detail on the upgraded software.
