Galot Motorsports, the outstandingly successful tractor pulling team that is based in Clinton, North Carolina, has announced a new endeavor for the coming year. Owned by Earl Wells, Galot Motorsports has partnered up with drag racing standout Todd Tutterow for the 2013 year, for a venture into the world of drag racing.
The three driver, four car team will be led by the distinguished Todd “King Tut” Tutterow, who has over three decades of drag racing experience and will be behind the wheel of a Precision Turbo & Engine turbocharged Pro Turbo/Pro Extreme 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang. John Strickland, whom is currently a member of the Galot tractor pulling team will now double-up on his duties and climb into the drivers seat of a Top Sportsman 1968 Pontiac Firebird. A second Firebird will be driven by team member Kevin Rivenbark, as he will be piloting a 2005 Pontiac. The fourth ride, which has yet to be announced and is at present in the works, is the flagship Galot Motorsports car.
The Galot Team has implemented some of the finest and brightest in the business to aid with the new project. In addition to the 2009 ADRL World Champ Tutterow, other notables worthy of mentioning are John Meaney of BigStuff3 for powertrain support, Harry Hruska of Precision Turbo & Engine for turbocharger and tuning guidance, Tom Jenkins from Advanced Fuel Ignition Systems, and for public relations and marketing is Ainsley Jacobs on behalf of P*TEN Marketing.
Planning on making its’ debut in the 2013 season, the Galot Team is making preparations to participate in the ADRL and newly formed X-DRL. Unless scheduling conflicts occur, also look for the team to make appearances at the NHRA Pro Modified races.
