The 22nd annual Haltech World Cup Finals – Import vs. Domestic race is still months away, but there is already a huge amount of excitement around the 2017 edition of this event. Every year the World Cup Finals (WCF) brings out over 400 of the best heads-up racers from around the world to Maryland International Dragway (MDIR), and now those racers will have another great class to compete in. Jason Miller and his staff at Miller Brothers Productions (MBP) have announced the creation of the new Wild Street class for 2017 that will help bridge the E.T. gap between several classes.

When you roll through the gates of the MDIR for the WCF as a racer you can expect some of the toughest competition you’ll ever see. To help level the playing field for racers in the Street Fighter and Super Street classes MBP team decided to create Wild Street. Some racers that compete in the Super Street class will have the option to remove weight, go to a larger blower, or a larger turbo to compete in Wild Street. Crossover classes like Coyote Modified, MD Performance Real Street, naturally-aspirated Ultra Street cars, and naturally-aspirated 10.5 can run in in Wild Street after some weight adjustments.

According to Miller, this class will provide some exciting heads-up racing action at the WCF this year. “We are predicting this class to run in the low eight-second zone with some of the fastest cars just breaking into the high sevens. This new Fuel Injector Clinic Wild Street class will give cars that were too slow for the JPC Racing Street Fighter class, and too quick for the Real Street Performance Super Street class a place to race competitively in front of 30,000 fans and 1.2 million people watching on the live feed.”

Miller and his team at MBP are currently working on finalizing the rules and will have them posted soon on their website RIGHT HERE.
