The “House of Hook” located in Jackson, South Carolina is one of the most unique tracks in the country. Originally opened in 1957 it stayed under its original ownership until 1985 when it was purchased by Jeff Miles Sr. – rightfully named Carolina Dragway but most known for its nickname as the “House of Hook”. In the last twenty four years there has been over three million dollars invested into the race track and its surroundings to bring it to its iconic status. Each and every event that is held at Carolina Dragway is promised to be exciting with numerous record setting performances.

Just announced is another event that should be no slouch in the excitement department. Mike Hill and Carolina Dragway have put their heads together to host a $50,000 Automatic Pro Mod race. The concept is simple as there will be either 8 or 16 entrants at $2500 each for entry fee. Carolina Dragway will add an additional $10,000 to the pot, which will make the winner of the event $30,000 richer. If there is 16 cars there it will be a $50,000 pot. Automatic Pro Mods have become very popular over the past few seasons and the following continues to grow. Mike Hill has put the word out and has already spoken with many big name racers on attending this event. As word has spread there is many more racers jumping on board across the message boards.
With names like Mike Stavrinos, Darrin Hoyle, Mike “The Hitman” Hill and Steve Kirk Jr. the results will be explosive. Guys like Steve Kirk Jr. are no stranger to letting it all hang out at the “House of Hook”. Kirk has been involved in some of the most iconic Outlaw 10.5 races in history which many were right in Jackson. South Carolina.
