The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) is making serious noise on the global stage, officially reaching 111 sanctioned drag racing facilities worldwide, the largest track base in the organization’s history. This growth in tracks falling under IHRA sanctioning shows the organization is ready to act on its promise of growing grassroots drag racing at the local level.

IHRA’s expansion to 111 tracks represents a staggering 70 percent increase over the previous season, the biggest year-over-year growth the organization has ever recorded. Even more telling is how quickly that growth has happened. Since December alone, 58 new tracks have signed on, choosing to align with IHRA’s evolving vision for the sport.

And that number doesn’t even include facilities the organization has recently acquired, making the real footprint even larger.

To put it into perspective, the last time IHRA reached the 100-track mark was back in 2012. Fast forward to today, and the sanctioning body now spans six countries, reinforcing its position as a truly global presence in drag racing.

“This milestone is not just about numbers. It is about belief,” said Darryl Cuttell, IHRA Owner.
“This growth represents track owners around the world who believe in what we are building and where we are taking the sport. The foundation of drag racing has always been the weekly racer and the independent facility. Their vote of confidence speaks volumes.”

Track owners like Dan Crownhart, owner of Cordova Dragway, are ready to support the goals of the IHRA to help grow the sport of drag racing.

“The group IHRA has assembled to lead member tracks is second to none. We feel part of a bigger stage as IHRA moves forward in becoming the dominant sanctioning body. I am thrilled to be an IHRA member track. The enthusiasm, inspiration, and growth of the sanctioning body over the last 12 months has been truly remarkable.”

That sentiment is echoed across the country. Gaylon Rolison, owner of Gulfport Dragway, added:

“Gulfport Dragway is proud to be a part of IHRA. The IHRA Member Track and Bracket Racing group puts priority on assisting and helping the tracks they represent, and goes out of their way to help all tracks operate efficiently. A true 10 out of 10.”
