Ford dealer Bob Tasca brought the Cobra Jet Mustang to life in 1968. The Cobra Jet made its return in 2008 with a lot more venom oozing from its fangs thanks to a modern 5.4-liter engine. The latest Cobra Jets are even faster and are the most advanced versions of these cars ever produced.
The combination of overhead cams, four valves per cylinder, and a supercharger helps the Coyote-powered variants of the Cobra Jet make big horsepower. These engines also require an expert level of tuning knowledge to not only run well, but also stay alive. Racers who drive and tune these cars are constantly making adjustments to stay competitive.
