NHRA Pro Stock racer John Gaydosh has a familiar new ride for the 2011 racing season. Gaydosh had been talking with Justin Humphreys about possibly buying his Pontiac GXP since Humphreys will be switching to a Ford. Gaydosh found a buyer for his Ex-Jim Yates Pontiac GTO and immediately purchased the GXP from Humphreys. Gaydosh said that there will be a slight learning curve to figure out the new car and that their good motor is finally ready and made a bunch more horsepower than last year. He thanks Gary Stropko and Dale Eicke for getting the engine “fixed up.”
John Gaydosh is a former Top Sportsman Racer turned Pro Stock Racer. He and his wife Tina have been racing part time in NHRA Pro Stock since 2008. They came off a championship winning season in the NA Shootout’s Pro NA class. The team has struggled at times, but has a huge desire to race Pro Stock. You may remember the car from last year with the Hot Rods for Heros wrap and all the signatures on it.
Plans for the 2011 NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Season include 10-12 events, starting out with testing at Bradenton Florida, then up to Gainsville for the Gatornationals. The Maryland based team consists of John and Tina Gaydosh, crew chief Wes Cator, crew members Bobby Crouse, and Brad Wallace. They do not have a primary sponsor at this time but they have financial assistance from Pypes Performance and Competition Products. If they can pick up more sponsorship they will be able to run more races. John and Tina Gaydosh really appreciate Pypes Performance and Competition Products for there help and could use more from others. The whole team is looking forward to the new season and the new ride. The car is a beautiful machine and it is actually painted not wrapped. Check it out and look for them to battle it out in Pro Stock this season.
