Justin Cyrnek has been racing fast Mustangs for over a decade, moving from street cars to full-tilt race cars along the way. The Fox-body Mustang you see here is his latest ride, one that is destined for the Pro 275 category as well as some other small-tire, radial events.

Over the course of the last decade, Cyrnek has partnered with top-notch performance shops, tuners, and race car builders. Larry Jeffers Race Cars in House Springs, Missouri, has a reputation for building some of the quickest race cars anywhere, and from the looks of Cyrnek’s Mustang, it is no exception.

Once LJRC finished the chassis build, the car was dropped off at Summers Motorsports in Utica, Illinois, for finishing work.

Powering the Mustang is a Summers Motorsports-built, 4.600-inch-bore space, small-block engine comprised of components from Visner Engine Development that offers 493 cubic inches of displacement. Fueling this powerhouse are 16 Summers Motorsports DFI 800pph injectors, which should supply plenty of fuel to be mixed with the air coming in from the Garrett G57 94mm turbochargers.

Backing the potent powerplant is a Liberty Gears five-speed transmission that has been coupled with a Bruno’s lock-up converter drive. Power management is being handled by a Haltech electronic fuel injection system.

The Pro 275 class has become increasingly tough over the last few years as many racers from Radial vs. the World have opted to run that class instead. Cyrnek will have his work cut out for him, but his record shows he knows to partner with the best in the business to achieve the best results.
