Everyone loves seeing a wide variety of vehicles at a race. The Fox Body Mustangs and old Camaros are cool but somewhat redundant in the world of drag racing. When this ORSCA contender decided it was his time to come mix it up in the Limited Street ranks, he chose something totally different – a 1993 Toyota Supra. Fear not, there’s no fart-canned 6 cylinder in there, it’s the venerable LSx platform with a set of twin turbos. Unique styling with a proven horsepower building combination, the best of both worlds right?

Checkout what the recent winter overhaul yielded for this killer Twin Turbo Import on Yellow Bullet.

A lot of changes were made to the car over the winter to make it competitive this year – from improving the 10 point roll cage to a 25.3 spec chassis by TYDO Race Cars, to bolting up a larger set of Precision Pro-Mod 91MM turbochargers on this Nelson-Built LSx. A slight upgrade in the converter department was also made with the help of a Neal Chance bolt together. Even with all these additions, the car has shed quite a bit of weight after the changes, which was one of the main goals. On the cosmetic side of things, not only does the body and paint combo work stunningly well, the twin turbos lying just in sight behind the bumper glaring at the competition is just a badass look.

With all that new-found power the team is hustling to get the car in the hunt for the ORSCA title, even though they’re a few races behind now. That isn’t an impossible hurdle to climb however, as you may remember that 2009 Limited Street champ Eric Dillard didn’t attend every race either. A few shakedown passes have already been made at a moderate 15 PSI, and the results were promising as the data flows in. Check out a quick video of the shakedown passes below.

One helluva’ sound to hear roaring out from underneath a Toyota!
