Santa Pod Raceway plays host each year to one of the biggest FIA races of the year known as The Main Event. This is the first round of the FIA/FIM European Championships, so it brings out all of the best teams from every corner of Europe. The Main Event is the race you want to be a part of, and to become a champion puts you in some rare company in the European drag racing scene.

With more than 200 teams on the property at Santa Pod Raceway looking to participate in one of the 17 classes, there is plenty of racing to go around. There are classes for everything from motorcycles all the way up to Top Fuel Dragsters. With so much prestige on the line, every racer that hits the water box at Santa Pod Raceway has the goal of being crowned champion at The Main Event.

The 2018 edition of The Main Event could be one of the fastest ever with multiple records falling across the board. Everything from the FIM motorcycle records to the quickest bump spots ever for the FIA were all set at the event. Santa Pod Raceway also saw track records fall in Pro Mod, Top Fuel Bike, Supertwin Top Fuel, and Super Street Bike. With so many records being reset its clear the fresh new Santa Pod Raceway surface has come around and the racers are able to use every bit of traction they can find.
