Moser Engineering has been in the racing industry for a long time, and they love giving back to the racers. Back again for 2010 is their Axle Mania Program that will give racers a chance to win some extra money. Not only will it give the racers money, but it will give them another way to compete – and competition is what a racer lives off of.

The Moser Axle Mania entry form is available now and be sure to visit Moser’s Website for more info.

2009 Axle Mania Winner

This is Moser’s ninth year with IHRA and their Axle Mania Program, and this program is available to all IHRA Pro-Am racers who meet the eligibility requirements. All of these racers will have a chance at a $51,000 dollar purse- $22,500 of that going to the top prize. The eligibility requirements are that a racer must run a set of Moser axles, have the proper Moser Axel Mania decals on their car, and complete the registration form.

The field will consist of 32 cars which will come from the top four eligible racers in each of IHRA’s seven sportsman classes, as well as the top four racers from a “wild card” group.  The points that count towards the eligibility for the 2010 edition of Moser Axle Mania begin at the first 2010 Summit Pro-Am event and end with the final Summit Pro-Am event of the season.

The winner will be the fastest one of that 32 car field on the eighth-mile. Points, which are used to set the field, are accumulated only at Pro-Am races and in the same manner as IHRA Drag Racing Championship points. The winner will receive $22,500, Runner-up $7,500, Semi $1,500, Quarters $1,000, Eighths $750, and Sixteenths is $50.
