Mike Janis Racing announced today that it has entered into a primary sponsorship agreement to promote the Valvoline Professional Series product line on the teams’ supercharged 2013 Chevrolet Camaro in the NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series, beginning at this weekend’s 44th annual Toyota NHRA Summernationals at Raceway Park in Englishtown, N.J. Janis’ machine will carry the familiar red, white, and blue Valvoline paint scheme that has adorned a number of iconic vehicles across many different disciplines of racing over the years.
The Valvoline Professional Series products help installers perform value-added services through professional-grade products. These products include fuel, transmission, cooling, power steering, and engine cleaning services.
“We are very excited to partner with 2X Pro Modified Drag Racing World Champion driver Mike Janis and the Mike Janis Racing team,” commented Pat Jones, territory business manager for Valvoline Distributor Sales, East Region. “Their industry knowledge is impressive and their sales strategy fits perfectly with our Valvoline Professional Series products. This partnership will help us reach customers in a unique way and help increase awareness and market share of our automotive chemical products.”
“As a Valvoline distributor, we see tremendous value and opportunity in the Valvoline Professional Series program that MJR has brought to market,” commented Pete Deckman, president of Honeoye Falls, NY based Deckman Oil Company. “We are taking full advantage of its assets in our market and know it will be a great tool to help us grow our lubricant and performance chemicals business.”
“MJR is honored to have the opportunity to work with an iconic brand like Valvoline,” stated Mike Janis. “We are looking forward to working with their sales team and distributor partners off the track and can’t wait to get to the track sporting the red, white and blue.”
Janis currently sits tenth in the NHRA Pro Mod points standings, 103 points behind leader Kenny Lang. Englishtown is the fourth of ten races on the 2013 NHRA Pro Mod schedule.
