Drag racing fans need to get ready for the big NHRA 60th anniversary celebration that will be taking place in Indianapolis at the Lucas Oil Raceway during the Mac Tools US Nationals. The event will be held August 31 through September 5 and it will be an event to remember. Families that are into drag racing as a family sport will be glad to hear that the special anniversary event will have a kids get in free offer for kids 12 and under for the entire weekend. That will save families some money.

At the event there will be the usual drag racing action going on with more than 1,000 cars that will be driven by the biggest stars in the NHRA today with racers from NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series and the NHRA Get Screened America Pro Mod Drag Racing Series. The special weekend will also have a bunch of other cool events for fans to enjoy and make the anniversary event special.

The extras for the anniversary show will include the Hot Rod Corral with 60 hot rods and vintage cars to checkout. Also on hand will be 64 vintage top fuel cars that will participate in the Cackle Fest where they all gather up on the track and start simultaneously. There will be a number of drivers in the pit areas to meet fans during the weekend and a lot more going on. It sounds like if you only make one NHRA event this year, the Mac Tools US Nationals is the one to go to.
