The NHRA is taking 75 years of drag racing history and putting it right in your pocket. The sanctioning body has teamed up with Concrete Software and GameMill Entertainment to develop an official NHRA Drag Racing mobile game, set to launch worldwide in summer 2026 on iOS and Android.
For fans who can’t get enough of the sound, smoke, and fury of 11,000-horsepower nitro cars, this new title promises to deliver an experience that’s as close to the starting line as your thumbs can get.
“You’ve heard the roar. You’ve smelled the nitro. You’ve lived the rush. Now it’s coming to your phone,” said Keith Pichelman, CEO of Concrete Software. “We are honored to partner with the NHRA to deliver an authentic experience that celebrates the sport’s legacy while making it exciting and accessible to racing fans and gamers everywhere.”
The game will feature current NHRA stars, Top Fuel dragsters, and Funny Cars, plus a lineup of classic rides and historic builds that showcase the sport’s evolution. But this isn’t just another racing app, it’s built around strategy and precision. Players will need to select the right parts, tune their cars, and build a crew to gain an edge. Success will come down to timing, shifting skill, and smart setup choices, not just mashing the throttle.
According to the developers, the NHRA mobile game aims to capture the authentic feel of competition. From realistic staging to reaction-time duels and crew management, it’s built for the fans who’ve spent their weekends at the strip.
Some of the key features teased so far include:
- Authentic racing mechanics that reward quick reflexes and smart tuning
- Legendary vehicles from NHRA’s 75-year history
- Modern cars, stars, and tracks featured in today’s series
- A crew system that emphasizes teamwork and race-day decision making
- A community hub where players can share builds, stats, and stories
“This project has been about honoring the authenticity of the NHRA and giving fans a mobile game that reflects their dedication and passion for NHRA drag racing,” said Glen Cromwell, NHRA President. “As we prepare to celebrate our 75th anniversary, we couldn’t be more excited to bring this experience to life.”
Fans can already sign up for the NHRA Drag Racing Newsletter to get early development updates, behind-the-scenes insights, and even a shot at beta access before launch.
The NHRA calls it more than a game, it’s a new way to keep the spirit of drag racing alive between race weekends. Whether you’re a racer, a fan, or just someone who can’t get enough drag racing in your life, 2026 will bring the dragstrip straight to your hands.
