Last weekend at the VP Racing Fuels Prize Fight outlaw-style event held at Ohio Valley Dragway, many of the top racers on the premises were competing on AFCO Racing‘s legendary line of shocks and struts.

What’s more, the three top classes held at the event all found AFCO customers hitting the winner’s circle. In the Pro Drag Radial class, longtime racer Mark Micke took home the class win, driving Jason Carter’s badass blue Malibu, over Marty Stinnett (who even raced on the tiny 275-wide tire) using AFCO’s canister shocks and coil-over springs. Micke rolled to a 4.31 in the final round, while Stinnett lost his engine on that final round of the weekend.

X275, which used John Sears’ current rules package to set down the conditions for the race, had Darren Hilterbran finding the winner’s circle with a 4.55 to runner-up Martin Connelley’s 4.59. Hilterbran and Connelley both run AFCO’s canister shocks and struts which have been modified by Menscer Motorsports. Connelley steps up his program with a set of AFCO brakes as well.

And in the Ultra Street class, Shawn Pevlor met up with John Keesey. Pevlor took home the class win along with the top qualifying spot for the weekend. Pevlor runs AFCO canister shocks and struts that have been modified by Menscer, while Keesey runs Menscer-tuned twin-tube shocks from AFCO.

The winner of each class, and runner-up spot in two of the three classes feature AFCO products products on their machines – that’s a stellar showing for the company. Congratulations to all of the racers for putting on what we understand to be an excellent show!
