The Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) revealed its nine-race 2019 schedule today ahead of this weekend’s PDRA Fall Nationals at the Darlington, Dragaway in South Carolina, featuring stops at seven venues in as many states from April through October. As it did in 2018, the PDRA will visit the GALOT Motorsports Park in North Carolina twice during the 2019 campaign, including the season opener in early April and again in September to kick off the championship push.
The Virginia Motorsports Park, the now-traditional venue for the annual PDRA World Finals, will again host the exciting conclusion, while also hosting the series in the spring with a second event. The Maryland International Raceway will again host the series with a stop to open the summer. The South Georgia Motorsports Park, a former host of the PDRA’s brand of doorslammer drag racing, will mark its return in late June, while Ohio’s Dragway 42 will be a part of the schedule for the first time, hosting its inaugural PDRA event in July.
