For the deep-pocketed Al-Anabi Racing army, some expensive new pipe is a rather common occurrence that can be rather difficult to keep track of if you’re not paying attention and keeping score. Next in line to saddle up aboard a new mount is Todd Tutterow, who has been a part of the Al-Anabi team for the last couple seasons and currently drives the Barwa-backed ’68 Camaro in the ADRL Pro Extreme division.
In a breathe of fresh air from the redundancy of the Camaro, the veteran supercharged driver and tuner has a brand spankin’ new 1967 GT500 Mustang on the jig at Larry Jeffers Pro Cars in Missouri, where the wicked first-gen Mustang is the middle stages of completion but is expected to be on the racetrack very shortly. Jeffers and his team are the wizards behind the record-breaking Corvette of Texan Frankie Taylor, the new C5 ‘Vette of Tommy D’Aprile, and a host of others, and there’s little reason to believe that success won’t parlay into improved numbers for Tutterow.
The 2009 ADRL Pro Extreme world champion has two careers wins in the series and currently sits fourth in the 2011 point standings, 311 back from leader Jason Hamstra.
