MOTHER NATURE WINS THE BATTLE AT OUTLAW STREET CAR REUNION
After three days of rain, cold, and even snow, race officials at the Outlaw Street Car Reunion II in Memphis nearly won the war before rain showers returned late Sunday evening, cutting short some titanic final round matches at the blowout radial tire racing event.
Outlaw Street Car Reunion II
It was an uphill battle all weekend long for promoters of the Outlaw Street Car Reunion at the Memphis International Raceway in Tennessee, as rain and cold temperatures — and on-track carnage — hampered the first two days of activity, with snow moving into the area during qualifying on Saturday. The Pro Drag Radial final was to see new record holder Jason Michalak face Mark Woodruff, while Rich Bruder and Kit Luong were to face off in X275, Butch Kemp and Shawn Pevlor in Ultra Street, Chris Tuten and Marty Stinnett in Outlaw 275, and Donnie Branham and Brian Tuten in MX235.
