Race Star Industries’ line of performance street and racing wheels are some of the most popular and recognizable hoops in the Mustang drag racing world, and showing their dedication to the industry, they’re known for giving back to the many racers who support them. Take a stroll though the staging lanes at an NMRA All-Ford event and you’ll find an array of cars sporting Race Star wheels, and several carrying their banner into battle, as well. And many of those rank among the series’ very elite competitors.
Arguably one of the most successful NMRA racers in recent years has been Terry “Beefcake” Reeves, who now competes in the 8-second Renegade category with his 2015 Mustang, carrying primary sponsorship from Race Star (and a set of their 92 Series Drag Star wheels). Others include Truck & Lightning competitor Nina Gussler, who campaigns a 2013 Ford F-150 with 93 Series Track Star wheels (and will be debuting a new EcoBoost pickup in 2016), reigning Super Stang series champion Kent Nine with his supercharged 2005 Mustang GT convertible rolling on 92 Drag Stars, Brad Gussler and his 2015 EcoBoost Mustang Super Stang class car on Dark Stars, and Canadian racer John Mummery, who also competes in Super Stang with a 2007 Mustang GT on 92 Dragstars and finished third in the series points last season.
On the homefront, Race Star shared that they’re currently in development of a forged wheels to be manufactured in the United States, which should give them even more saturation in the NMRA pit and car show area in the future … and, with so many top racers running their banner and wheels, likely in the winners circle, too.
