This is one very unique new rat rod coming out of Southeast Hot Rods in Georgia, featuring a 25.2 chassis that’s legal to run in the six-second zone. What you never see in a hot rod like this is a John Kaase 820 cubic inch Ford Hemi mountain motor Pro Stock engine that should make well over 1,800 horsepower. That’s enough ponies to reach their goal of six-second, 200 mph runs. They’ll be using a Powerglide transmission behind that big monster, and dual parachutes with launchers, a full driveshaft enclosure, and beadlock wheels give away the cars potential, as do the big ole’ Mickey Thompson 10.5W slicks hanging out of the back.

The windshield on this ride still opens like it did originally. Some of the other components that have gone into this amazing machine include stainless steel headers with mufflers and a custom fuel cell, along with a four-link rear suspension and a full tube chassis. Notice also how the rear body panel is notched for the chromoly wheelie bars. Some help was received from RJ Race Cars – one of the premier chassis shops in the Pro Stock and Pro Modified circles – on this project.
