From Flying A Motorsports’ extensive trailer lot at its Cuba, Missouri location, this month its feature a pre-owned 20-foot Pace Cargo Sport race trailer with many options installed directly in-house at the company’s trailer repair and upgrade facility.
The Cargo Sport trailer line from Pace American trailers is its top-of-the-line custom cargo trailer. Perhaps you are looking for a commercial-grade cargo combined with specific racer-oriented amenities; this trailer is sized to fit your standard race car, plus some additional supplies.
On the underside, the trailer rides on a pair of 6,000-pound leaf spring axles, each with electric brakes. The chassis includes a 6-foot extended tongue and a 5000-pound manual tongue jack.
On the outside, this Pace trailer has a .030-inch thick screwless aluminum body with a 24-inch ATP stone guard on the front face. There is a one-piece aluminum roof, 36-inch side entry door, and rear ramp loading door with a 16-inch ramp extension. Also featured on the exterior are 24-inch Extreme brand LED exterior lights.
Setup for the races, this trailer has a self-contained power unit consisting of a 7-kilowatt Onan commercial generator with a built-in 25-gallon fuel tank. The generator is installed inside an insulated generator compartment using a 36-by 33-inch door. A CO sensor is also fitted to the interior for safety.
On the inside, you will appreciate the white vinyl walls and ceiling that includes three fluorescent lights and multiple 100-volt electrical outlets. In the forward section, the interior has upper and lower aluminum cabinetry with a workbench, plus a 24-inch closet.
The floor is furnished with coin-design rubber flooring and a variety of ways to tie down your race car and equipment with extra D-rings and wall-mounted E-track. Your overall race day is kept comfortable with a roof-mounted 15,000-BTU air conditioning unit.
This trailer presents a great number of niceties in the popular 20-foot trailer category for many weekend racers who compete close to home.
