As the official trailer/motorcoach dealer of Dragzine, Flying A Motorsports’ extensive lineup of new and used motorhomes, toterhomes, race car trailers, stacker trailers, car haulers, and cargo trailers are highlighted here in the Rig of the Month feature.
This month’s featured trailer includes some unique news related to the history of Renegade trailer and their dedicated following. Flying A Motorsports has in stock one of the final Renegade trailers that will be produced by the manufacturer. This new 40-foot lift gate trailer features all of the workmanship racers appreciate, but will not be available again at this price point.
“Renegade manufacturing was bought out by a company called the REV Group approximately a year ago,” says Alan Cape, President of Flying A Motorsports. “With this new group primarily owning a large group of motorhome companies, Renegade will now concentrate on motorhomes only and will not produce trailers such as this in the future.”
Many racers have been die-hard owners of Renegade toterhomes, motorhomes, and trailers as a matched set for the decades they have been in business. For a racer interested in this kind of package, Flying A Motorsports has many Renegade and other brand haulers in stock to match to the gooseneck hitch of this current rare deal.
“Renegade has been the preferred brand when it comes to lift-gate and stacker trailers for some time,” Cape further explains. “Their price point and quality have been top notch. When racers desire a trailer like this in the future, the price is going to be higher when it comes to other brands down the road.”
This liftgate trailer features 40-feet of upper deck space, and the bottom level has 32-feet. Images show a significant amount of aluminum cabinets and tool drawers built by Renegade and popular with racers. The suspension is constructed using heavy-duty 40,000-pound semi trailer-style axles with 22.5-inch tall tires.
An onboard Onan 12-kilowatt diesel generator can power the trailer’s Bard air conditioner and heat system, an onboard air compressor, and a significant amount of LED interior lights along with LED bright floodlights for your nighttime pit area.
“The upper level can hold two Pro Modifieds, Pro Stocks, or whatever you have along with over 30-feet of clear floor space on the bottom level. “With all of the polished stainless trim and white-black coated aluminum walls, it’s a real quality piece to maintain and look sharp for your racing team,” Cape says.
The trailer has a walk-on roof, aluminum trailer flooring, and Z-rail tie down mounting lining the length of the upper deck … enough to adapt to any combination of tie-down configuration you need. There are also solid see-through sliding doors on both the side and rear entry points.
With the massive acreage of new and used racecar trailers, stacker trailers, car haulers, and cargo trailers located at Flying A Motorsports, it’s difficult to say “call now, this one won’t last long.” With this being the final trailer of the Renegade line, they really mean it.
