As the official trailer/motorcoach dealer of Dragzine, Flying A Motorsports’ extensive lineup of new and used motorhomes and toterhomes, racecar trailers, stacker trailers, car haulers, and cargo trailers will be highlighted here in a monthly feature known as the Rig Of The Month.
If you jump to the itemized list (see below) of this 2020-model, 34-foot iCon model race trailer by InTech Custom Aluminum Trailers, you will find one of the most extensive lists of options ever seen featured with a tag trailer.
“This brand new triple-axle trailer is part of the new InTech Trailer line,” says Alan Cape, President of Flying A Motorsports. “The pedigree of the InTech Race Trailer makes it very popular with today’s racer who is looking for exceptional construction and workmanship. Their options offered are impressive, as well.”
InTech aluminum cabinetry offers the same attention to quality as their overall design and construction.
The raw building blocks of this trailer include an all-aluminum tube frame with an aluminum extruded floor. The triple-axle trailer features a spread axle design and uses 7,000-pound Dexter torsion axles. Electric brakes are mounted on each of the three axles.
On the exterior, a one-piece aluminum roof provides walk-on sturdiness combined with screwless outer walls constructed of .050-inch aluminum. The rear ramp-door offers a generous 97.5- x 102-inch ramp. The interior walls offer the screwless design, as well. To raise the trailer at the extended length tongue, there is a single post hydraulic jack system.
“This unit has seven-drawer and five-drawer toolboxes combined with an L-shaped upper and lower workbench area with a mirror-finish backsplash,” Cape comments. “There’s also a huge amount of wall storage cabinets down the right side of the interior that feature fold-down desks with USB charging ports.”
There is an ample grouping of spare tire storage within the interior, including a spare tire wall mount and two-floor spare tire compartments.
Among the additional iCon trailer amenities include a Girard 16-foot lateral arm awning, interior wall carpeting throughout the inside perimeter, and a 60-inch double side entry door. The rig is also pre-constructed to accommodate your generator of choice with a prep package that includes an in-frame fuel tank, electrical transfer switch, and fuel gauge.
Electrical convenience options include a 50-amp electrical package with a 60-amp electrical converter. There are five 20-amp interior receptacles, one 20-amp exterior receptacle, and a 12-volt fuse panel. Included as well is a 25-foot electrical shore cord.
We asked Cape about how an all-aluminum trailer scales-in compared to a steel chassis.
“Trailers average about 100- to 125-pounds per foot difference on a comparable trailer length between aluminum and steel construction. That can really add up with overall trailer weight.”
Like many new 2020-year trailer designs, there are a ton of LED lighting fixtures inside and out. These are great to light up your pit area with far less power draw than older light fixture technology. – Alan Cape
New designs for trailers will be coming out in the new year, and Flying A Motorsports is on top of offering these new option packages. Their partnership also continues with Elite Motorsports in Oklahoma, where customers can alternatively pick up Flying A trailers or get Elite’s inventory at their Missouri locale.
“If you’re considering an aluminum tube frame tag, gooseneck, or stacker trailer, the InTech models are a consideration as a step up over standard lines of manufactured trailers,” Cape finishes. “It’s the reason we have invested in becoming one of the largest-stocking InTech dealers of the brand in the United States.”
Not only can you see much more on this specific trailer on the Flying A website, but you can also view the daily updated inventory and use their payment calculator included on every trailer listing page.
