As the official trailer/motorcoach dealer of Dragzine, Flying A Motorsports’ extensive lineup of new and used motorhomes and toterhomes, race car trailers, stacker trailers, car haulers, and cargo trailers will be highlighted here in a monthly feature known as the Rig Of The Month.
This time around, Flying A is showing one of the most stellar units currently available at their six-acre sales facility. This 2007 Chariot “Super C” Motorhome originates from a pedigree above many brands.
Alan Cape, President of Flying A Motorsports, explains, “The Chariot line is highly favored by the NADA vehicle price guide for book value. Compared to some other lines, it is far easier to finance a previously-owned Chariot conversion than other brands because of its high values.”
To add more to the list of positives for this Motorhome, it is built on the Freightliner Coronado Chassis and comes equipped with a 515-horsepower Detroit engine. Behind the Detroit powerplant is a Smart Shift 12-speed transmission.
For many unsure of the Smart Shift option, it not only computer-operates the clutch and gear-shifting duties but also senses what load is currently placed on the engine and can easily skip gears when the load is not demanding.
“On flat land or lighter payload, it can skip from two to four gears as it upshifts,” Cape describes. “When the rig experiences different loads, it will change the gear grouping in use up to the full 12-speed option.”
Alan explains that this engine/drivetrain/chassis combination is the most sought-after combinations by many racers.
“Even on the interior, the Chariot is known for the huge slideout features. From behind the cab, through the kitchen area, and all the way to the bedroom is one single slide on the driver’s side,” Cape adds. “The couch area, kitchen cabinetry, and sinks all slide out for more room — that’s amazing.”
There are 200 gallons of fuel storage contained in two fuel tanks to get you through any expensive fuel states. Other heavy-duty components include an HWH leveling system and Onan quiet diesel generator.
The amenities are eye-opening with a walk-through bath featuring double sinks and a private shower and toilet. The private bedroom is equally luxurious with a king bed, Sony HDTV, and a lot of closet space.
Another Sony HDTV and DIRECTV receiver are located in the vast seating area just behind the cab. Make sure to check out the detailed feature listing below for the long list of first-class elements in the kitchen area.
Heading to the races in style with the ability to hang out with many clients or friends are just some of this rig’s benefits.
