Ace photographer Steve Wilson, a regular photographic contributor to Dragzine, and his chip-off-the-old-block son, Dallas, spent the summer traversing strips all across the midwest in 2013, capturing some of the most intense drag racing moments and the baddest of race cars in all their glory from behind the viewfinder. From small-tire outlaw doorslammers of all varieties, to classic Gassers, Altereds, and front engine dragsters, to modern day Pro Mods and 300 MPH Top Fuelers and everything in between, the Wilsons’ best shots of the year feature a little bit of it all. Heck, they even get a little abstract, which in drag racing, is every bit as cool as tire smoke, wheel stands, and flames.
