The 16th edition of DuckX Productions Lights Out is set to mark a Radial Outlaws versus Street Outlaws showdown, and a homecoming for some of the popular faces of the street racing television franchise.
Four Street Outlaws No Prep Kings and small-tire drivers — all with a history of their own at DuckX events in years past — are locked in to the big race at South Georgia Motorsports Park February 20-23, the third of seven Radial Outlaws Racing Series 2025 events.
Leading the charge is reigning No Prep Kings champion Shawn “Murder Nova” Ellington, who is set to bring his bad-to-the-bone O.G. Nova to compete with radial racing’s best in the 3.6-second, 200-plus-mile-per-hour Pro 275 category. Ellington has campaigned the car on big and small tires, prep and no-prep, and has the equipment and braintrust to run with Pro 275’s best, including Grantley Schloss, Tim Dutton, Mo Hall, and Lyle Barnett.
He’ll be joined by young-gun Jimmy Howe, who is teaming up with his father Jim Howe to campaign the former John Odom-driven supercharged Nissan GTR in Pro 275. The elder Howe is a former Limited Drag Radial world champion and DuckX event winner who was a perennial contender in radial-tire racing before turning his attention to the Street Outlaws universe.
The always-tough No-Time 275 class will feature “Daddy Dave” Comstock in his beautiful ProCharger-boosted Audi S5, now riding on small radials, and longtime radial racer Justin Swanstrom in his supercharged “Prenup” Lexus. Additionally, second-generation racer Kallee Mills will enter her supercharged Camaro in the No-Time class.
In addition to Swanstrom’s and the Howe family’s extensive radial racing backgrounds, Ellington and Comstock both have competed at DuckX events at the South Georgia Motorsports Park in various cars and categories over the years. Since switching his former No Prep Kings-focused Lexas over to small tires, Swanstrom has been a frontrunner at no-time shootouts and grudge races, and will easily be marked as a contender at Lights Out.
The outing will mark Comstock’s first with his Audi on radials, and while data and sheer laps on 275’s won’t be on his side, his car has proven plenty capable. Mills’ father, DeWayne, is one of the most decorated radial-tire racers in history, and Kallee’s early heads-up racing career began in the X275 class at events such as those promoted by DuckX.
