After many years of real world testing, time and time again the Dodge Stratus body has been proven. Guys like Allen Johnson, Jason Scruggs and Pat Musi have shown that it can be utilized in many different classes. Most will remember this Stratus from its former owner Jason Scruggs, who ran it in the ADRL with the blower poking out the hood – it was a badass car then, and its recent rebuild retains that ‘cool’ factor. John Sullivan Jr. and Sr. bought the car together from Scruggs, then made some significant changes.

Undeniably the most oft spoke of motor in the Mopar world is the Hemi – this car in particular is home to a Brad Anderson BAE stage 8 that will get a big power boost from an F3R-135 Procharger. The new custom made cowl hood boasts both major aspects of the powerplant with the well-placed Procharger and ‘HEMI’ lettering. With all this power you’ve got to get it to the big Mickey Thompson’s out back – this car does so with a turbo-glide built by M&M Trans. in Jefferson City, MO. Mark and Ryan Micke will be handling the technical data in the crew cheif position come race day.
One might be asking, where can we see this killer ride lay down some numbers? John plans to run the full NMCA schedule competing in the fastest class the NMCA provides – Pro Street. If time permits, this Stratus will also be out competing in the Quick 8 races, as well as various All-Mopar shows. All that’s left is some tweaking on the chassis dyno, and then John is hoping to be able to squeak in a little testing the weekend before the NMCA season opener in Bradenton. Look for this car to become a heavy hitter in the pro-street ranks if all goes well.
