Mickey Thompson’s Bubba line of slicks can be found on doorslammers, dragsters, and everything in between. Now, Mickey Thompson is unleashing a Pro Bracket Radial version of the tire known as the Bubba Radial. This new competition bracket radial has been designed to provide racers with consistent elapsed times.
The 34.5/15.0R16 Bubba Radial was created with a bolt-on fitment designed to make installation easy on bracket dragsters and door cars. Mickey Thompson took great care to ensure the Bubba Radials feature matched rollouts that remain consistent across each tire. Ultimately, the goal was to provide increased mph while also helping to lower elapsed times.
The Mickey Thompson team is still testing the Bubba Radial extensively on different vehicles competing in a variety of conditions. This testing is being conducted to gather data so Mickey Thompson can better guide its customers on how to use the Bubba Radial. Racers will need to make basic air-pressure changes, shock adjustments, or minor changes to power application in order to “tune” to the tire—but it will be worth it.
Mickey Thompson’s Jason Moulton adds some additional insight about the new tire:
“A lot of effort has been put into creating the Bubba Radial. We want to give our racers products that help them win, period. Bracket racers need consistency, and that was a driving factor in the design of the Bubba Radial. Racers at every level are going to love what this tire offers.””
