From there, the tour travels across the continent with exciting stops in Arizona, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Alberta, and Nevada. The Legacy Nitro Funny Car Series 2026 schedule strategically splits the season between seven Hot Rod Heritage Series dates and four massive special attraction events on the premier Mission Foods Drag Racing Series. Placing these unpredictable vintage machines on the biggest stages allows modern fans to experience the raw power of old-school drag racing.
Series owner Bill Windham explained: “The variety and performance of our style of Nitro Funny Car racing has really drawn attention and resonated with the fans.” Windham also noted: “The yearlong 75th anniversary of the National Hot Rod Association gives us a great platform to bridge the past and present in a way that only our series can offer.” For the very first time, the tour will return to Pomona to crown its ultimate season champion at the fabled In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals this November. Fans can also expect more news soon regarding fresh sponsorships and race dates for the related Front Engine Dragster and Fuel Altered classes.
