Three-Time Pro Street Champ Budano Back To NMCA In ’12?

The NMCA’s Pro Street division has been a rather cyclical arena over the years, in that a particular racer or team will join the fold and capture a number of wins and championships during a short reign before handing over the torch to the next competitor down the line. Mentioned among names like Musi, Dantoni, and Christian, there have been few racers tougher under the NMCA banner than Vinny Budano, who won three straight Pro Street titles from 2005 to 2007 and came up just short of a bid for a fourth consecutive title in 2008.

The New York state native made his return to the NMCA last season with a brand new Camaro at the season opener in Bradenton, but sat our the remainder of the schedule and competed in Northeast Pro Mod events.

In a recent interview with L.I.E. Pro Mod TV with host Jimmy Biggs at the Northeast Outlaw Pro Mod Series banquet, Budano indicated his intentions to once again contest the NMCA Flowmaster Muscle Car Series in 2012, where his championship know-how could wreak havoc on the present “administration” of Joe Dunne, Chris Rini, Randy Adler, Vinny Demieri, and other series regulars. Simply out, Budano’s competitive presence is nothing but a good thing for Pro Street.

Per Budano, he and the “Boyz from NY” will fill in their schedule with NEOPM events and possibly some ADRL Pro Nitrous dates in 2012.
