Unfortunately, it looks like another track has closed its doors. Thunder Valley Raceway Park in Noble, Oklahoma, has ceased operations. The person who’s leasing the track has decided to cancel the lease and won’t be running the track anymore.
Thunder Valley was once one of the hottest places to race in the central part of the United States. The cast from Street Outlaws frequented the track to test and just have a good time racing their rides. Thunder Valley was also the original host for the Outlaw Armageddon no prep event, which drew in massive crowds and the biggest names in no prep racing. Even big drag-and-drive events would make stops at the facility.
There have been rumblings of trouble at Thunder Valley for some time. The facility was sold several years ago, and various people have leased the track and tried to keep it going. There have been posts floating around on social media about events designed to help the track stay open, but those didn’t come to fruition.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide any updates as they become available.
