Over the last year, we’ve developed an excellent relationship with the team at Tim McAmis Race Cars, and they’ve chosen Dragzine as the exclusive outlet to release visuals of a pair of their newest, most state-of-the-art builds.
The car above, owned by the Australia-based Moits Racing crew, was profiled extensively here on Dragzine back in April. We showed you the first-ever photos of Moits’ new 2013 Mustang Pro Mod, crafted by the McAmis team and designed to become the Aussie team’s first foray into the Pro Modified wars. According to our sources at TMRC, the Moits Mustang is ready to take the track this upcoming weekend at the PDRA’s Martin, Michigan event in the Pro Extreme class; Moits Racing driver Paul Mouhayet is on American soil as of this morning and will see the car in its completed form for the first time.
The PDRA’s top-dog Pro Extreme class features the quickest and fastest doorslammers in the world with eighth-mile elapsed times typically in the 3.50 range. The Moits Mustang features one of Pro Line Racing‘s 481X all-billet powerplants and a Rossler Turbo400 transmission.
You may also remember the Pro Nitrous machine of Brian and Tyler Hard, which was featured in a six-part build series that detailed the car’s entire construction.
From the day the first pipe was laid on the chassis table to the final installment, McAmis shared its construction with all of us.
The final article featured the entire car ready for competition. We hear that they will also be on the property, although we can’t confirm at this time whether they’ll be testing or racing in Pro Nitrous.
