Titan Motorsports has seen resent success in the ADRL Extreme 10.5 class and others with their turbocharged Scion tC and Celicas. Moving into 2010, the once import only team felt it was time for a change. Now they are expanding their stable, adding a brand new 2007 Cobalt Extreme Pro Stock car to their ranks. Recently, the team made the drive from their shop in Orlando, FL over to Bradenton Motorsports Park for a little preseason testing of their new car.
With Canadian Mark Martino, Titan’s newest driver behind the wheel, the car turned a solid set of passes. Reports from the team say that the car performed well, running a 4.09 ET in the eighth mile, with the quickest pass of the test coming in at 4.068 @ 176.99. Backing that run up with a still very quick 4.096. To put those times into perspective, that is only .018 off of the current ET record held by Dean Goforth at 4.078. Mile-per-hour wise, that same pass was only 1.27 MPH slower of the fastest MPH recorded by current class champ Matt Harford just last year in Texas.
With still plenty of time for additional testing and tweaking, Titan looks like they are going to be a force to reckon with this coming season. Check out some additional photos of the brand new car below.
