Tina Pierce, star of the hit Discovery Channel program Street Outlaws, was uninjured in a frightening crash while making an an exhibition pass at the IHRA Mardi Gras Nationals at the State Capitol Raceway in Baton Rouge, Louisiana this evening when her pickup truck went up and over the guardrail.
Pierce was a guest of new IHRA and Pro Modified class sponsor Crower, signing autographs t the event and making exhibition runs for the fans.
During the fateful run, Pierce’s Chevrolet pickup took a hard left turn just beyond the sixty-foot marker, suggest perhaps that something broke in the suspension, sending it careening into the wall. The angle at which Pierce struck sent the truck up and over the wall, where it flipped over onto its roof and came to a rest in a ditch alongside the track. IHRA safety personnel pulled Pierce from the truck, thankfully without injury.
