A stock 2024-2026 Mustang GT based on the S650 platform is rated at 480 horsepower, but what if there were a way to double that number without intrusive modifications? Vortech can make that a reality with its new centrifugal supercharger package for the S650 Mustang.

When Vortech engineers were tasked with creating a supercharger system for the S650 Mustang, they approached the project with a clean-sheet design mindset. The result is a supercharger kit capable of supporting serious horsepower while delivering the fit and function of an OEM-style system. In other words, previous Mustang platform components were left on the bench, and fresh ideas drove the new design.

Vortech placed several engineering priorities at the top of the list for its new S650 Mustang supercharger kit. A redesigned bracket architecture increases rigidity and improves belt control in high-boost situations. The inlet routing was optimized for better airflow efficiency, and all accessory integration was developed specifically for the S650 engine bay. The system also offers increased adiabatic efficiency, up to 76 percent, which helps reduce heat buildup while improving power consistency.

There are plenty of gearheads who crave maximum horsepower. According to Luis Cisneros from Vortech, the S650 supercharger system was designed to grow with the owner and support increased power with minimal modifications.

“We leaned heavily into scalability,” Cisneros explains. “Instead of building only a fixed-power street kit, we designed the system around modular performance growth. The standard V-3 JT-Trim setup is capable of supporting up to 1,000 horsepower in modified applications, and the platform can be upgraded further with larger race-oriented head units.”

This scalable design is why the Vortech S650 tuner kit is ideal for Mustang owners who want more than basic bolt-on power. The kit offers flexibility by allowing owners to choose their own fuel injectors, fuel system upgrades, and ECU calibration.

“For some owners, that means adding a reliable 700–800 horsepower street setup with supporting fuel upgrades and conservative tuning. For others, it means building toward four-digit horsepower combinations with upgraded internals and race fuel,” Cisneros says.
