Real Speed Racing's Walt Drakeford is getting a line on his new set up running a 5.07 in round one of Ultra Street last night. Upgrades include Menscer shocks and struts and an upgraded and braced rear housing and control arms from TRZ Motorsports.

Richard Colas came back from the nasty fire to make a nice 5.15 pass at 138 MPH on a round one single. The ATF crew worked hard to make repairs yesterday. he will face Kenny Markwich in round two.

Mike Fratena was paired with Eric Kenward putting up low ET for the round 5.05 at 142 to Kenward’s .006 red bulb.

We had two pairs left on ODR this morning with Josh Klugger advancing over Scott Husted’s game 4.43 at 174.

Mark Kyger took a holeshot win over top qualifier Frank Meshaw pulling a .040 reaction to Meshaw’s .094, it was a .059 margin of victory at the stripe with Kyger’s slower 4.49 besting Frank’s 4.44.

Ken Quartuccio would also advance over Dillon Voss with a nice 4.55 at 158 while Campbell advanced over Kenny Voss.

Pro Mod had some nice runs this morning with multiple upsets. Wayne Smozanek will advance over Jerico Balduff who fouled out with a -.012 red light.

Adam Flamholc has been fighting tire shake this weekend and his round one pass was along the same lines pedaling his way to a win over Mike Iania.

Isaoas Rojas (shown) and George Williams both made runs in the 6.0 range and will advance to round two.
Final Elimination Results
Lil Bull, Meshaw, Gullet, Tony Alm, John Townsend, Larry Hutchinson, Omar Obando and Keb Quartuccio advance t round two in Heavy Street

Mike Therber put his gorgeous 69 AMX in the final with Lee Neal’s Mike thompson racing Engines ATF equipped Xtreme S-10. Therner took a holeshot .025 to Neal’s .106. That a big gap to make up in a tight class like 10.0 Index sporting 52 cars in class this weekend. Neal’s 10.007 was a good effort but not enough to get under Therber’s 10.029 run. Fellow 10.0 racer Allan Kremkau builds the Hearbeat engines machined AMC powerplant. Mike dedicates this win to his brother Paul who passed 12 years ago.

John Wallauer has been racing his 73 Duster practically since it was new after trading his wife’s car in on it at the dealership. John built the car and several other here himself with his Duster sporting much of the original paint. 8.50 Index opponent Kenny Puffenburger hails from Bradenton, Florida with his 76 Camaro and put up a fine .002 light getting out by .005 on the Duster. At the stripe it would be Waulluer with an 8.565 earning the win over Puffenburger by the same .005 in a very close side by side final.

Walt Drakeford earned the Ultra Street Championship over Troy Pirez Jr. running a 5.10 to Jr’s game 5.12.

Josh Klugger and Mark Kyger were the final pair in Outlaw Drag Radial with Klugger having lane choice. That would not matter as Kyger broke a rocker after starting the car for the round. Kyger would take the tree and drive down while Klugger went on to run a 4.64 at 164 MPH. This is the first win for the new Fiscus/Klugger Racing, Racecraft Inc. Outlaw Drag Radial Mustang.

Robert Briscoe made the final with number two qualifier Rodney Campbell. At the stripe it would be Briscoe with the win running a 4.57 at 158 to Campbell’s 4.65 at 155.

The final of Outlaw 275 featured two parts of team ATF this weekend with Tony Alm and Mike Freeman(near lane) On paper Alm had lane choice and consistent 4.60’s all day, and a 7.01 at 200 last night in a 6 second attempt.Jason Gatlin and Freeman found the sweet spot this morning running low 5.70’s since. Freeman left hard with an .057 and Alm struck the tires in the left lane. Freeman ran it out to a 4.74 at 152.

Pro Street bike was off the hook this weekend with the Walter Sprout and Justin Doucet
setting track records for MPH and ET respectively. Doucet took number one qualifier with a 6.90 pass for owner David Broyles while Sprout was running consistently 213 or better out the back. Doucet took the tree first with an .038 a, .007 advantage but slowed to a 7.26 while Sprout went on to rest the MPH record with a 214.66 blast.

Greg “Racin” Cason and Jeff Ensslin (tower side) comprised the final of Pro Street Outlaw with number two qualifier Cason having lane choice with his 7.57 single. Cason took the advantage at the start with Jeff running a 7.49 at 185. Cason was off pace with an 8.23.

Tony Alm (near lane) was also entered in Heavy Street making the final round in both classes and an interesting small tire vs. big tire match up. Ken Quartuccio driving for car owner Rich Beaumont, who happened to also have two cars in the final round in two classes. This Camaro, and the other, driven by Jeff Ennslin, the Pro Street Outlaw winner. Just .005 separated the two at the hit and a nice side by side race. Quartuccio would take the stripe with a 7.27 at 191, his fastest pass of the day. Alm’s game 7.38 at 192 was also his best effort of eliminations. C&S Performance is the teams engine builder with a Skinny Kid Chassis and Larry Ennslin as crew chief.

The Pro Mod final was of epic proportions as ET and MPH track record holder Kevin Fiscus paired up with George Williams in a rematch of the 2013 final. Fiscus pulled off a 5.89 though his 252 MPH blast remains in place. His .038 was a nice head start and they went down side by side. The scoreboards lit up to the tune of 5.960 at 27 for Fiscus and just .034 later Williams’ 5.994 at 236 popped up making this the first five second Pro Mod side by side race at Orlando. Fiscus/Klugger Racing has back to back wins in Pro Mod and doubled up in Outlaw Drag Racinl carding Klugger’s first in their new Racecraft Inc. built Mustang with both cars featuring Pro Line Racing power.
