Hemi Under Glass ‘Cuda Set To Make One Last Run at Vegas

Amongst all the cool cars, intricate builds and downright gnarly production cars, there’s always a few that stand out and are remembered by all. I believe it’s safe to say the ‘Hemi Under Glass ‘Cuda is one of those cars. With full tra,ck 1320 foot wheel-stands, a classic ’68 Cuda and the traditional gold Hurst graphics package, what’s not to like?

As the old saying goes, “All good things must come to an end”.  Though we recently heard that the car may be making its last appearance at the Mopars at the Strip event in Las Vegas through a post on Moparts. Bob Riggle piloted 3 different versions of the wheel-stander back in the day until 1975 when he hung up the helmet and moved back to Arizona. Eventually the racing drive came back to Riggle in ’95, when he decided the side-lines weren’t as fun anymore, creating an all-new replica of the original Hemi Under Glass to tour across the country impressing all. The ’68 Cuda features none other than the legendary Hemi that’s mounted in what would be the back seat, with a little power boost from a polished roots blower. The zoomies dumping just before the rear tires add to the ‘cool’ factor. The car has gathered a massive following, and even has its own series of diecast models available for purchase.

The wildest Mopar party in the west just got wilder with this announcement. Bill Sefton (who is the current owner of the Hemi Under Glass) will make the final appearance alongside the original driver Bob Riggle who retired in ’05 at the same event. You won’t want to miss this once in a lifetime experience of seeing the badass wheel-standing ‘Cuda up close and personal, as the Hemi Under Glass motto goes, “See it again for the first time.”
